I love most all ROC and Neutrogena products as they are all owned (including Aveno)by the same company (Johnson & Johnson, I think). Any of their products with Retinol work well as anti-aging skincare. Now, for this Roc eye product: I believe this is best used on the eyelid right up to the eyebrow. It definitely lifts the eyelid. You may have, as I do, an eyelid which is begining to droop as in a hooded eyelid. This product definitely lifts the lid to brow area recreating more lid-show as when one was younger. Hoodedness becomes far more contoured. However, I do not use this under eye as I find it not nearly rich enough as an eye cream plus the fact I believe it made laugh lines and crow's feet around the eye area worse. When used as an under eye cream you can forget about trying to place concealer over it as the concealer just pils, generally making it a mess. HOWEVER, I have never used a product which firmed the eyelid and browbone with literal lift to this extreme. I swear to you, it gives you more lid-show, less hood. It does this rather quickly, noticeably in less than a week with "My God, how did it do that" results in a month. The less you use the better (1/3 of a pea size for each step). This is easier to do with step one as you vacate it from a tube. The second step requires a pump but, with care and practice you can get the hang of pumping out none too little nor too much. I think it should be re-evaluated and sold as an upper eye firmer. I've never seen anything like these results. It's as if you've had an upper eye job, I kid you not!
I must add that initially your browbone skin and particularly the eyelid itself will seem as if it is either drying out or shedding dead skin cells. This will dissapate after the first week or so. I'm also not sure how eye make-up (lid to browbone) will attatch or work with it, as I've never tried it. Either way the facts seem to imply once that rolling off of what appears to be dead skin cells stop, you may be able to aquire a nice applicatioin of shadow/contour/hi-lite and liner (whether pencil, dry powder shadow lining, liquid liner, gel liner (waterproof or water resistant). If not, just use it at night. It is still beneficial w/1x/day application. The results will just come sooner and be more prodigent with 2x/day application. One might try building up to the twice a day dosage which seems to give the best results.
It's usually quite expensive considering it's a drug store (I never see it in Walmart anymore) product and there is so little of it: .33oz in each container. If you use them in exact proportions that's still just a .33oz amount of eye treatment as most come in at least 1/2 ounce. If I remember correctly this was originally selling for $49.99. It is now under 30 bucks in Walgreens. This would of garnered 5 stars from me if it weren't for the fact I did not like it as an under eye cream. Despite this, it is a formidable upper eye treatment. FANTASTIC!!
